What is Fort Lauderdale United FC

The only women’s professional soccer team in South Florida. Our Fort Lauderdale-based team is a part of history by starting a new generation of American women’s soccer, providing more opportunities for success, and advancing the sport in our community.

When will the team play?

A fall to summer calendar, beginning its regular season in August 2024. The USL Super league will be the only American soccer league aligned with the global game’s traditional club calendar running from August to June. What is the USL?

The United Soccer League (USL) is the largest and fastest-growing professional soccer organization in North America, possessing more than a decade of experience in bringing the world’s game to communities across the United States and Canada. Overseeing the USL Championship (USSF Division II), USL League One (USSF Division III), and USL League Two (Pre-Professional), the organization is built on a proven and recognized model in international football and counts more than 125 clubs in its membership. That membership will expand with the addition of the pre-professional W League, kicking off in 2022 and the Super League, which will apply for Division II professional sanctioning and kick off in 2023, doubling the amount of professional women’s soccer teams in the United States.

Based in Tampa, Fla., the USL has grown during the past decade into a model organization with strong partnerships including ESPN, stable organizational leadership and a dedicated staff of more than 80 professionals across 17 departments for unparalleled support to member clubs. What is the USL Super League?

The USL Super League is a professional women’s soccer league set to kick off in August 2024. The USL Super League has committed to U.S. Soccer’s Division One standards, reflecting its collective vision to be a global leader in women’s soccer on and off the field while providing more opportunities for more women in more communities. The inaugural 2024 season will feature 10-12 teams with additional teams set to join in subsequent seasons.

Where will the club play its home games?

Fort Lauderdale United FC will play its home games at Beyond Bancard Field at NSU, located on the campus of Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. 7510 SW 30th St, Davie, FL 33314, USA
